Given how few people actually have a Teppanyaki hot plate in their homes you might think that this knife is not of very much use. In fact, it is an excellent knife for all types of slicing tasks as well as making a  truly fantastic steak knife.

Teppanyaki is a Japanese style of cooking where food is prepared on a hot, solid iron or steel griddle. Most typically, steak or another meat is sliced into bite-sized cubes using an extremely sharp knife and cooked on the griddle.

This special edition knife has been designed accordingly, with a sharp point and curved sweeping blade, Michel Roux Jr.'s signature is etched on the blade. Of course, the Teppanyaki Steak Knife is not just for cutting meat. It is a good all-purpose knife suited to many kitchen uses. But isn't it nice to just pretend you are a Japanese Master Chef when you have it in your hand!
