From the maker
Boska of Bodegraven, Holland. The Bos family, in the heart of Dutch cheese country since 1896.
Their story →A cheese slicer that cuts with a wire instead of a blade, made for mild rindless cheese and fresh cheese like soft goat cheese and mozzarella. It sets to two slice thicknesses, thin or thick, and the flat handle gives a firm grip and good control. A wire slips through soft cheese where a blade would drag.
Monaco+ is made entirely of stainless steel, handle and blade alike, for a clean, modern look on the table. Across the knives and blade slicers, a waffle or diamond pattern and a non-stick treatment help cheese release from the steel rather than cling to it. Boska is a family company from Bodegraven in the Netherlands, started by Willem Bos in 1896 and now in its fourth generation.
Use & care: wash by hand in warm, soapy water and towel dry; do not put it in the dishwasher. Rinse soon after use so soft cheese does not dry onto the wire, and store the slicer flat where the wire will not catch on other utensils. If water spots appear, a wipe with a soft cloth and a little white vinegar brings the steel back.
