From the maker
Boska of Bodegraven, Holland. The Bos family, in the heart of Dutch cheese country since 1896.
Their story →A long rocking knife, about 45 cm from end to end, made for two-handed use so you can press the blade down through a pizza or a block of cheese in one controlled motion. It cuts clean slices from a pizza fresh out of the oven and takes on hard and semi-hard cheeses like Cheddar and aged Gouda. A waffle pattern on the blade cuts down drag so food lets go easily.
Oslo+ pairs stainless steel blades with handles of European oak, so each piece feels warm in the hand and looks at home on a wooden board. Every blade carries a textured pattern or a non-stick treatment that helps cheese and dough let go instead of clinging. Boska is a family company from Bodegraven in the Netherlands, started by Willem Bos in 1896 and now in its fourth generation.
Use & care: wash by hand in warm, soapy water, then rinse and towel dry straight away; do not put Oslo+ in the dishwasher or leave it to soak, since standing water dries out the oak. Store dry, with the blades kept apart from other utensils. If a handle starts to look pale or feels rough, rub in a few drops of food-safe board oil and leave it to soak in overnight.
