Cole and Mason Derwent Electric Rechargeable Salt Mill

An electric salt mill that grinds at one press of the button on top, leaving your other hand free while you cook. Three grind settings, chosen by turning the band on the mill, take it from fine salt for seasoning as you go to a coarser grind for finishing a dish at the table.

The Derwent is Cole & Mason's rechargeable electric mill, standing 190 mm tall in stainless steel with a clear acrylic window, so you can see when it needs filling. It charges with the included USB-C cable in about two hours, gives up to 750 uses on a full charge, and lights on the mill show how much battery is left. Pepper is ground by Cole & Mason's Precision+ carbon steel mechanism and salt by a sharp, anti-corrosion ceramic one, each matched to what it grinds.

Use & care: wipe the mill clean with a damp, colourless cloth and dry it straight away; do not use cleaning products, immerse it in water or put it in the dishwasher. Fill only with dry whole peppercorns or dry salt crystals, as moisture is what clogs a mechanism. If grinding slows, empty the mill and leave it open to dry fully before refilling, and recharge when the lights show the battery running low.
