From the maker
Fired by Emile Henry in Marcigny, France. Six generations of Burgundy clay since 1850.
Their story →A flat spoon rest, 22.5 by 10 cm, with a central ridge that lifts the utensil slightly so it is not lying in its own drips. It keeps sauce off the counter, sits steady beside the hob, and slips flat into a drawer when the cooking is done. In a deep green Cedar glaze.
Emile Henry has worked clay in Burgundy, France, since 1850. Its kitchen pieces are made from HR® ceramic, a dense, high-resistance ceramic that stands up to everyday knocks, finished in a lead-, cadmium- and nickel-free glaze that keeps its colour through the dishwasher and years of daily use.
Use & care: dishwasher safe, or rinse and wipe after cooking. The glaze is fine with metal spoons and ladles, and a quick soak loosens anything that has dried on.
