From the maker
Fired by Emile Henry in Marcigny, France. Six generations of Burgundy clay since 1850.
Their story →An individual tagine, 16 by 16 cm and 15 cm tall, whose tall conical lid sends steam back down over the food so it cooks gently and stays moist. It holds about 0.6 L, a generous portion of a slow-cooked stew, couscous or baked eggs, and comes to the table as its own serving dish. Shown here in Basalt.
Solo is Emile Henry's collection of individual ovenware, scaled for one so each person gets a dish of their own straight from the oven. Every piece is made in Burgundy, France, where Emile Henry has worked clay since 1850, from HR® ceramic, the house's high-resistance ceramic. It goes from the freezer to a hot oven, holds its heat so food stays warm at the table, and has a hard glaze that keeps its colour through years of washing.
Use & care: use in the oven up to 270 °C, in the microwave or in the freezer; HR ceramic is not made for the hob or a direct flame. Dishwasher safe, or wash by hand in warm soapy water. If food has baked on, soak the dish in warm soapy water for a while and it will lift off easily.
