A single-dose burr grinder for filter coffee: pour over, AeroPress®, drip machines, French press and cold brew. Load up to 100 g of beans, choose from 31 steps across 11 settings, and it grinds and then switches itself off when the beans are done. A built-in knocker taps out the last of the grounds, anti-static technology keeps them from clinging, and the catch cup locks into place with magnets. It is made for brewed coffee, not espresso.
The Gen 2 Ode is built around 64 mm stainless steel flat burrs with a two-stage grinding geometry, made to give an even, consistent grind for clear, well-extracted filter coffee. Fellow kept the body compact, about 239 mm deep and 105 mm wide, so a serious grinder can live on the counter without taking it over.
Use & care: keep water away from the burrs and the grinding chamber. Every few sessions, or when you change beans, sweep the chamber, burrs and outlet with a dry brush; the top burr lifts out by hand for a deeper clean. Wash the catch cup by hand in warm soapy water and let it dry completely before it goes back. If grinds start to taste stale or flow slowly, coffee oil has built up on the burrs: run a dose of grinder cleaning tablets through, then a few beans to clear them.
