The OMRA 2250 manual tomato squeezer is perfect for producing consistently smooth sauce. Tomatoes go into the hopper and come out as fresh tomato sauce with seeds and skins separated. Machines gears are made of a heavy-duty cast iron covered in a food grade epoxy acrylic resin. Perforated strainer tube, hopper funnel, filter tray, pivot and spring are made of food grade stainless steel.

Better than expected

First of all, we received the manual squeezer earlier than expected. About a week later we put it to use, and it performed even better than expected. The only comment I would make, and this is NOT specific to this unit, is about the stability of the unit when clamped down on a table: I had to use a couple of tie-downs from different angles to really hold the unit in place; I don't think any company has a better solution. Nevertheless, the tie-downs worked great, the unit performed beautifully, and we went through about 55 kg of tomatoes in a relatively short period of time without having to worry about a motor burning out. As a bonus, we got some good exercise out of this task. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this unit, and I liked the warranty provided by the manufacturer and the return policy of KitchenVirtue; you might find other companies are not nearly as confident in their products.
