The Kasumi Hammered Bread Knife features a strong, serrated blade that allows for cutting without squeezing or damaging food. The serrated edges are ideal for anything with a tough skin or crust, allowing the soft interior to be protected through each slice. Use for slicing all types of bread, as well as large fruits such as cantaloupes, pineapples or watermelon. Made of Japanese VG-10 cobalt high carbon stainless steel with a 59-60 Rockwell hardness. The hammered pattern on each side of the blade is a result of hot forging by 300 tons of a flection machine which makes the steel hammer design clear. The uneven hammer design prevents food from sticking to the blade. Features a polyacetal resin (POM) handle is comfortable, hygienic, and long-lasting. The remarkable shiny edge is perfected with a dual finishing process from medium and fine #3000 revolving water resulting in a sharp professional edge. Made in Seki, Japan.
