Their story →The rasp-style zester that lifts just the fragrant zest from a lemon or lime, here with a handle in Blueberry Pop, a bright, cheerful blue. It also grates hard cheese into soft, fine flakes and makes quick work of ginger, garlic, cinnamon and chocolate.
The Premium Classic is the long, narrow rasp that made Microplane's name, a design with its roots in the woodshop. Its stainless steel blade is photo-etched in the United States into rows of tiny, razor-sharp teeth that cut cleanly instead of tearing. The soft-touch handle is comfortable to hold, a non-slip rubber foot steadies it against a plate or board, and a cover is included to protect the blade in the drawer.
Use & care: the grater is dishwasher safe, or rinse it under running water straight after use, brushing along the blade in the direction of the teeth; wash the cover by hand. Never wipe across the blade with a sponge or cloth, which snags and shreds it. Slip the cover back on before storing.
