Suwada has been making cutting tools in Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture, since 1926. Forging, grinding, joining, sharpening and finishing are guided by skilled hands, and each pair of blades is finished by hand. The result is a clean cut that leaves a smooth nail edge rather than a torn or split one.
Use & care: after use, wipe away any residue with a soft cloth and store the clipper dry, ideally in its case. Do not leave it wet or put it in the dishwasher, as steel tools can corrode if they stay damp or are kept somewhere humid. Suwada can resharpen and repair its clippers if the edge ever needs attention.
