Their story →The Wusthof Partner 8-inch Bread Knife saws cleanly through crusty sourdough, soft sandwich loaves, and delicate cakes without tearing or compressing them. The serrated edge stays sharp far longer than a straight edge and needs little maintenance.
Like every knife in the series, it is forged from a single piece of X50CrMoV15 high carbon stainless steel, hardened to 58 on the Rockwell scale, and finished with a half bolster so the entire edge can be sharpened. The full tang runs the length of the durable synthetic handle for balance and stability. Each knife passes through roughly 50 production steps and 20 quality checks in Solingen, Germany, and carries Wusthof's lifetime warranty.
