Their story →The Wusthof Classic Ikon 4.5-inch Asian Utility Knife is a slim, precise blade in the petty knife tradition, ideal for trimming, slicing small produce, and fine work at the board. The Classic Ikon's contoured handle and distinctive double bolster give it exceptional balance for a knife this size.
Like every knife in the series, it is forged from a single piece of X50CrMoV15 high carbon stainless steel, hardened to 58 on the Rockwell scale, and finished with a half bolster so the entire edge can be sharpened. The full tang runs the length of the durable synthetic handle for balance and stability. Each knife passes through roughly 50 production steps and 20 quality checks in Solingen, Germany, and carries Wusthof's lifetime warranty.
